WHY COYOACÁN?

The bohemian neighborhood of Coyoacán it’s one of the preferred places by the locals of Mexico City, it is well known for its cobblestoned streets and its colonial Spanish style architecture. Intellectuals, travelers, artists and locals converge in this peaceful spot (far from the noisy and bustling life of this megacity) to visit both the Museum of Fida Kahlo, the house of Leon Trotsky as well as art galleries, to learn about the study of chakras and also to see the beautiful and colorful traditional markets. There are lovely cafés outdoors found all next to the public square and the surrounding streets, all within a lovely green and full of trees environment.

Best introduction to Mexico City by far

I took the Coyoacán tour my very first weekend in CDMX, and then the Historic Downtown tour the next. I couldn't have had a better introduction to the city. Paco was incredibly knowledgable about both areas- from the unique graffiti in the artsy Coyoacán district to detailed histories of many significant buildings in the city center. I especially loved how he linked significant events from the past to contemporary conversations. Both tours were easy to schedule and join and proved to be quality experiences. 100% recommend
